WIRED

about
All the other Lain Blogs, and the Blogs that inspired this one. While hopefully I'll never have to update that the website is broken or gone, if it ever happens, I'll leave an update in the title.
itinerae
Itinerae

The creator of the template I'm using for this website, itinerae has a wealth of resources for anyone who wants to make their own neocities website. Much love to their services and much admiration for their amazing coding skills!
LainOS
LainOS icon

A group making a lain themed OS system to be downloaded and used in place of a typical system like MacOS or Windows. It's not really for me unfortunately, I'm not nearly so connected to my computer navi, but if you want to really connect to the wired I think it'd be fun to do so with lain in your system guiding you. It'd be like the PS1 game kinda! I think? I dunno lol. I don't know much about the details about usability or safety but it still looks cool; and hey, it's lain themed! that's got to count for something, right?
「Black Wings Society」
LainOS icon

Inspired by Fauxx, the Black Wings Society places a little more focus on Writing than Music, but still devotes a few sections to music and it's enjoyment in the familiar Cyberia Club.
Otherman Records: La-incarnation
LainOS icon

A breakcore music site with a dedicated album for Lain! I haven't listened to any of the music yet (I don't even know if I CAN listen to the music.... nothing's playing right now...) but it's still a facinating thing to see.
Layer 22
LainOS icon

A clothing store based in the UK that sells Lain themed items including an Acella Necklace
「Wired Sound For Wired People」
Another Neocity Website! This one is by a user named Fauxx, and is a SUPER popular Lain Fanpage, with lots of puzzles and sub-pages to explore, text to translate and images of lain to witness! all rendered in a flickering pink hue. Though perhaps that flickering can get to some people...Warning for epilepsy

Lain Game
Laingame.net

You might have noticed that I've been mentioning a videogame pretty often on here. A ps1 game specifically. Now maybe You'd imagined that I was just a cool person who happened to have a ps1! Unfortunatley not, haha. Instead thanks to the work of these amazing people, the ps1 game that was only released in Japan has been translated and emulated so that everyone can try playing it. I do warn you though, it's a LONG game. And while it's been translated, it's only been subbed and not dubbed. And there is a LOT of dialogue you'll need to read through....
Exp-LAIN-ed
expLAINed

An old website I intend to read through, proviing an analytical explanation for all of the events in Lain. It's currently only available on the Internet archive, where I've linked it to, but there also seems to be some other websites that were found there that Link to Lain. I'm having a fun time shuffling through them all.
Mebious
Mebious
Another Neocities website! This one again seems kinda old, but it also has the english translation for the nigtmare of fabrication manga! I've seen the manga before while surfing around on the Internet Archive, but I couldn't find any english translations there. I'm sure I could have if I tried a bit harder, but well, oh well I guess lol. Their site kinda reminds me a little bit of mine! I'm not nearly as cool as them, obviously, but the use of the Layers as sections does tickle me. Same idea I guess lol.
Lain.Wiki
lain.wiki
I'm no expert on Lain, So I've been having to re-visit this pretty often just to check my sources or to re-visit something that I only vaguely recall. So often I make use of the wiki. Of course, not the "fandom" one ugh terrible site honestly. All those ads and the formatting sucks too! I much prefer the indie one; the Wired one.
Tsuki Project

Oof. Okay. This one is a heavy one. Kinda scary too. The sort of webpages I remember getting warned about by my parents. Cults and all that stuff. Basically, it's a death-cult. one that apparently got a 17-year old kid to off themself because of the website's teachings. It's since been shut down, but people like the systemspace network have been retaining mirrors of the website for archive purposes, letting us explore the old website for what it once was. For more information, you can check out the wiki, which has various more links to other resources at the bottom.
Thought Experiments Lain
Thought Experiments Lain
Another pretty old site, this one, more clearly from that old internet that this indie web is so eager to replicate, for better or worse really. It's still got some interesting stuff on it's pages though. Like a time capsule. A little peek into the past, and all that fun stuff.
Mebius' World Of Text
Your World Of Text

A text board website! This one is from Mebius, themed under Lain! It's super cool to see the community from Mebius over the years who have visited and contributed to that massive web and wall of text. It's like grafiti on a bathroom stall! An infinite bathroom stall.... Haaaa I really ought to make an ENA fanpage.....
